In May, my girlfriend and I had the opportunity to spend a week living in Santiago, Chile. It was a leisurely trip, spent strolling the city’s vibrant, varied neighborhoods, picking through bookstores and antiques shops and sampling Chile’s abundant cafe culture. Santiago is a gem, one best enjoyed while sipping an afternoon espresso and watching the Andes poke through a bank of receding clouds.
