Photo Essay: Somewhere off the coast of Thailand
The three-day festival to celebrate the Thai New Year, called Songkran, ends today, the final day of streets filled with strangers dousing each other in buckets of water to wish good luck in the new year and smearing white powder on their faces and arms to protect them from bad spirits. Once the frenzy subsides, most of Thailand will go back to a quiet day-to-day routine, captured here in a short photo essay by Lanna Apisukh.
